Stargazer/Camping:
Camp by tent or hammock under some of the darkest skies in North America and see the stars like never before! Enjoy s’mores and beverages by campfire, a one-hour guided tour of the night-sky, and stargazing tips from Forest Glen Adventures before we leave you with everything you need to take your time soaking in the celestial bliss.
Experience Includes:
- Overnight tent or hammock camping for you/your group at Forest Glen Adventures: Bring your own tent or hammock and fall asleep under the stars!
- Stargazing insights and a one-hour guided dark-skies tour: Learn stargazing tips and tricks so you can maximize your dark-skies viewing in the Mi’kmaq Lands and Acadian Skies Starlight Preserve! We’ll show you some familiar night sky features according to the time of year and tour you around the night sky through recommended stargazing applications.
- Stargazing essentials supplied: Telescope and binoculars provided for your experience! You’ll also receive a Stargazing 101 guide and red sticker to turn your cellphone flashlight into a red-light flashlight.
- Enjoy s’mores and hot chocolate or Forest Glen herbal tea around the fire while we wait for the night sky to arrive.
- Take your time soaking up the night sky, as we leave you under the cover of the night to watch for falling stars, satellites, and more.

Good to Know:
Meet at the Log Cabin (main entrance) when you arrive to Forest Glen Adventures and we’ll share:
- recommended night sky interpretation apps you can download before we head to the stargazing platform,
safety information and - pack in-pack out instructions
- We have a six-person tent and double air mattress available for rent ($20 per night) if you don’t have your own. Rental includes set up on site and tear down.
- We’ll happily help you set up your tent and/or hammock if you’re bringing your own.
Sometimes overcast conditions present patchy opportunities for stargazing but beautiful conditions for camping. We’ll show you how to get the most out of stargazing in any condition. - If you’re planning to stargaze during your trip, protecting your eyes is very important! Be sure to wear sunglasses when outside and especially when at the beach or near the water as the sun can leave an impression on your retinas for over 24-hours.
We recommend you bring bug spray, comfortable footwear, and dress in layers.
You’re welcome to bring your own telescope and/or binoculars if you have them.
